Burning Peace songs have been getting played on the "Locals Only" radio program here in Reno (KTHX "The X" 100.1FM) more often than I realized. Every now and then a fan will mention having heard one of our songs on the 10pm show, but I keep missing it!

So, here I am today, sitting at my desk and thinking about tomorrow's showcase at Walden's. I've really been looking forward to this show because:
1) Burning Peace hasn't performed as a complete band since our January show (it's been a busy month for everyone);
2) We're finally going to again play with the Kimberly Trip (something we've been waiting for since last July);
3) I've got new mics and monitors and other goodies which I've been looking forward to using with the band.
But just now, just this minute, I realized something that I had somehow forgotten. This Friday's show is REALLY special because it marks the THIRD anniversary of Burning Peace! We didn't choose the name until March of 2002 (which is also when we first played Walden's open mic), but we got together for our first jam together early in February 2002, and by the end of the month had decided to make it a partnership and form a band.
Awww, memory lane. :)
So, now I'm REALLY fired up for tomorrow's show. It's amazing to me that it's already been THREE years since we started this thing. WOW! We couldn't have kept it going if it weren't for all our friends, family and fans; you people rock! THANKS!
Come on down to Walden's Coffeehouse this Friday evening and wallow in all the musical goodness. Roberta Chevrette, the opening soloist, has some great songs and an interesting outlook on life. The Kimberly Trip simply ROCKS MY WORLD; I'm going to the show to see THEM. And then, hey, Burning Peace will be in the hizzowse ready to bust out plenty o' tunes, some old, some new, and perhaps we'll throw in a couple of crowd pleasin' covers since y'all seem to enjoy it when we make a spectacle of ourselves. :)
