We had a great time on Saturday (09/16/06) performing at Bev Treadway's birthday party! We set up outdoors and shared the stage with our good friend Lenny Walker, together keeping the music going while everyone else played games and kicked up their heels until sundown. The food & drink was great, everyone had a good time, and some really strange (i.e. creepy) magnetic poetry was created on Bev's fridge by Lenny & Joe, somehow enhancing our enjoyment of the requisite after-party nightcap. :)

To our superfan Bev, thanks for inviting us to share your day!

Last Saturday's showcase at Walden's Coffeehouse was all kinds of fun (08/26/06). Frankie Ferreira started things off right with a full hour of his own brand of folk singin', which was enjoyed by a small but attentive audience.

Next we moved on to our buddies Deuce, who agreed to perform literally at the last minute in place of Second To Some (who were unable to perform due to injury). Deuce was joined by Cap Stapp on drums, which made for some really good semi-acoustic rockin' that was enjoyed by growing crowd of folks.

In fact, by the time we got to the Burning Peace action, I think we had more chairs full than empty. It was a pretty quiet weekend in general, so it was really nice to see so many old friends and familiar faces by the end of the evening. Lenny Supera had to skip this show due to injury (seems there was a curse on guitarists last week), but the rest of us soldiered on and did our best to wake the dead. Morgan South joined us for a song, which of course always turns me into the ever-beaming proud papa. :) Big thanks to everyone who came out to this show, especially those of you who traveled from other STATES just to see us! WOW! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

Unless I hear otherwise from band members in both camps, we're planning to try again for a Second To Some / Burning Peace Walden's double-bill on October 28th. It'll be a HALLOWEEN show, so you'll be made merciless fun of if you're not in costume. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

The next
Burning Peace event will be a private party on September 16th celebrating our superfan's birthday (Bev Treadway). If you know Bev and you want directions to her par-tay, drop me some email and I'll point you in the right direction.
